Fentanyl Bill Filed In Upcoming Legislative Session


A pre-filed bill in Louisiana would harden penalties for drug-related crimes tied to selling fentanyl. Andre’ Moreau talks with State Rep. John Stefanski about his plan to send a powerful message to drug traffickers that Louisiana will have a zero-tolerance policy concerning fentanyl. If it becomes law, the penalty for possession or distribution of fentanyl 28 grams or more would be equivalent to that of a violent crime like homicide: Life in prison.
